What are Regular Singular Points of Differential Equations?? With 3 Full Examples
In this video we discuss the difference between regular and irregular singular points when using power series solutions of differential equations. A singular point is any number that make the leading coefficient zero. A regular singular point is one which satisfies two conditions. The corresponding factor must appear at most to the first power in the denominator of p(x) in standard form and at most to the second power of q(x) in standard form. -------------- My name is Jonathan, and I teach hundreds of students every week. Differential equations is one of my favorite subjects, and I'm excited to share my experience and tips with you. Thanks for watching!
