Weymouth MRA Exhibition 2024 Part 1

The Weymouth Model Railway Association held its 2024 exhibition over the weekend of 2nd/3rd November. About 20 layouts were on show, covering N, 00, 009 and 0 gauges and various railway locations and era. Thanks to the organisers and exhibitors for an interesting exhibition. Featured in Part 1 are: 00:00 Weymouth MRA 2024 Exhibition Part 1 Intro. 00:22 Benbridge - N gauge - East Dorset Area N Gauge Group. 4 track mainline station, small goods yard and branch line set somewhere in the Cotswolds in the 1950's/1960's. 06:00 Barton St David - 00 gauge - Benjamin Puddick. Fictitious branch line terminus and goods yard in Somerset in the 1920's/1930's with both GWR & S&DJR services. 13:14 Chard Junction - 0 gauge - Ken Banks, Blandford MRC. Through station and goods facilities serving parcels, a dairy and sawmill in the late 1930's. 17:56 Tittesworth - 009 gauge - Chris Barker. Fully automated layout with hints of Welsh narrow gauge railways 20:21 Church Hope - 00 gauge - Dave Farmer. An in-progress fully automated layout loosely based on the late GWR steam era, with a narrow gauge railway and Thomas & Friends. 23:11 West Clayton - N gauge - Kenneth Ayeward. Fictional terminus station with stabling and servicing facilities in the mid Pennines region in the years 2001 to 2005. Music: Late Night Train by Vans in Japan (free YouTube download).
