The video then addresses who among the prominent companions emigrated to Abyssinia. Ali ibn Abi Talib was too young, Umar was not yet a Muslim, and Uthman ibn Affan did emigrate. Abu Bakr attempted to emigrate but was stopped by a tribal leader named Ibn al-Daghina, who offered him protection in Mecca on the condition that he not pray publicly. Abu Bakr extended his house and made it into a makeshift mosque where he prayed loudly. His voice was so emotional and melodious that women and children gathered to listen. This alarmed the Quraysh, who pressured Ibn al-Daghina to withdraw his protection unless Abu Bakr stopped even praying at home. Abu Bakr refused to stop worshiping and renounced the protection, placing his trust solely in Allah. After that, he lived in Mecca without tribal protection. The video also describes the hardships faced by Muslims returning from Abyssinia. They had to find new protection to re-enter Mecca, and some, like Uthman ibn Maz'un, managed to do so through connections. However, seeing other Muslims being persecuted while he was safe, Uthman voluntarily gave up his protection out of solidarity and conscience.
