"We'll Have Guests Coming" DO SOMETHING About this AWFUL Flower Bed
One of my clients came to me for help again, as they have guests coming this weekend, she asked me to trim a tree in the front yard, as it is done annually for the winter, and also to tidy up the fence with bark mulch, which had turned into something horrible, in addition under the mulch instead of weed fleece was a regular polyethylene, which was wrong, as it does not let moisture in, which increases the growth of weeds. She had already prepared several bags of bark and wanted me to just fill them up and spread them evenly, but after I cut the tree and loaded everything into the trailer I decided to remove the old mulch and polyethylene and put the fleece. I then raked out all the old bark, removed the polyethylene, and dug up one withered boxwood bush. While I was working, the owner's dog came out to say hello. When I was done I had to go to the store to buy some fleece, when I got back I started laying it, but I didn't like the quality of the fleece, it's very hard to cut and leaves a lot of debris after cutting, but I had no other choice as it was the only one available. Then I started pouring out bags of bark, but as it turned out these bags were not enough, so I went to the store and bought 4 more bags. Finally I removed the small weeds from the sidewalk and parking lot and then blew everything out. I completed the work on this house but that was not the end of my work and I went to another customer who needed to trim a sprawling hedge of Laurel, the hedge was about 12m long and about 3m high. To start with I used a Stihl KMA135 cordless trimmer, but it was too weak for the job so I used a more powerful Stihl HS82R trimmer. I had to work a bit to cut the top of the hedge as the branches were thick but my trimmer did a great job. Then I started to clear it but as my trailer was half full I wasn't sure I could load it all in one go but I didn't want to go and unload the trailer and come back again so I just loaded it all up and put two more bags on top. The first job took me 3 hours and the hedge trimming took me 3 hours too!
