Week 3 of Hallmark Christmas 2024 | Recap & Review

Two of Hallmark’s Christmas movies in Week 3 reminded me of some other famous stories or movies. A Carol for Two, for example, was a bit of a spin on Cyrano de Bergerac, with some classic Christmas songs thrown in the mix for some musical fun. It’s a story about two men, one of whom really wants to ask out the beautiful Violet, played by Ginna Claire Mason. But, he’s a bit immature, which is putting it mildly. So he asks his cousin to help him out by getting to know her and sharing with him everything he finds out about her. And, of course, it’s the cousin who ends up falling for her. What could possibly go wrong with that? Our Holiday Story reminded me a little bit of one of my favorites, You’ve Got Mail. Here we have two people, Nell and Dave, played by Nikki DeLoach and Warren Christie, who meet on a train and something magic happens between them. But they get separated and later, when they get back home, they wind up working together through email and by phone, and they can’t stand each other. The catch here is they have no idea that they’re one and the same. I’ll also give a little synopsis of Tails of Christmas and Holiday Mismatch in this week’s recap and review of Hallmark and Great American Christmas 2024. Do you love Hallmark movies?
