We survived a 24 hour STORM RVING on the Oregon Coast!

We stayed at the always great Nehalem Bay State Park which is one of our favorite Oregon Coast State Parks due to it's proximity to so many great towns, hikes, restaurants, and breweries. Nehalem Bay State Park is a beautiful park located on the Oregon Coast, just a few miles south of the charming town of Manzanita. The park is situated on a 4-mile long sand spit that separates Nehalem Bay from the Pacific Ocean. It is a popular destination for camping, hiking, fishing, crabbing, beachcombing, and wildlife watching. The park covers over 800 acres and features a range of amenities, including campsites for tents and RVs, yurts, a horse camp, and group camping areas. There are also several hiking trails, including the 1.8-mile Bayview Loop Trail, which offers stunning views of the bay and the surrounding forests. Nehalem Bay is known for its excellent fishing opportunities, with a variety of fish species available year-round, including salmon, steelhead, and sturgeon.
