Their WCW Nitro TV show had just begun airing at the end of 1995, they were gaining the same amount of viewers as the WWF, and they were introducing new superstars to their roster every week (with many of these being surprise debuts on Nitro). As the year went on and when it seemed like the format for WCW television had been firmly established, the company was turned completely upside-down in the summer of 96. Scott Hall made his WCW return to announce some sort of takeover, and this was closely followed by the return of Kevin Nash. These Outsiders promised a third man was going to join their side at Bash at the Beach 1996, and the wrestling world was shocked to learn that Hulk Hogan had joined the team. Known as the nWo, this faction (and their storyline) would change professional wrestling forever. This video looks at WCW in 1996 on a month-by-month basis.
