In the 1920s and 30s, the city of Munich served as the epicenter for the Nazi Party. It was here where Hitler attempted to overthrow the government in the failed Beer Hall Putsch. After his ascension to power in 1933, a place known as the Königsplatz was transformed to serve as the cultural center of the Nazi Party. We're walking the ground today looking at what remains from that era and how that history is interpreted in the Documentation Center.
