Home to some of the most famous and iconic whisky distilleries in Scotland, including Glenfiddich, Macallan, The Glenlivet, Balvenie and Cardhu, Speyside single malt whisky is renowned around the world. Located in north-east Scotland, Speyside is more easily accessible compared to the Isle of Islay, another of Scotland’s famous whisky regions which requires a ferry or a flight. Although there is a popular Speyside whisky trail, I do my own Speyside distillery tour, visiting Speyside distilleries and the Speyside cooperage, doing Speyside distillery tours and drinking plenty of Speyside whisky at Speyside hotels and whisky bars in the process.
