Using Your Watercolor Brush as a Magic Wand
Wouldn’t you love to have a magic wand that could do anything you wanted it to? As watercolor artists, we do have magic wands of sorts—only ours just happen to have bristles on the end. Our brushes have much in common with the three fairies’ magic wands in the story of Sleeping Beauty. They can conjure up objects, make things disappear, manipulate color, and create light, to name just a few of their magical powers. In this video I will demonstrate a technique of holding and using a brush as a “magic wand” to create some wonderful effects in watercolor.
