The first video showcasing my latest Nvidia Jetson Nano project! I wanted to use this project as an example project to show what can be done with edge compute devices like the Nvidia Jetson Nano! In this project I perform object detection with the Jetson Nano to catalogue wildlife in real time from a remote outdoor location, recharging a battery with solar power! You could also use a Raspberry Pi (Raspberry Pi 5 etc) for this project or some some other single board computer with a Neural Network accelerator to run the YOLO Object Detection model in python (YOLO 8 etc). I also use an Arduino Nano in this project to monitor the solar battery power management system to shutdown the Nvidia Jetson Nano when the battery voltage gets low. The Arduino Nano also controls the Nvidia Jetson Nano by booting it up/shutting it down at the correct time of day.
