Use Compositing To Improve Your Still Life Photography

Compositing is the process of combining multiple images together to create one final image. Most people think of the concept in terms of complex, other-worldly, images which can take hours to create. Within still life photography, compositing is used in a far simpler way. Creating multiple images of your product and merging them together in Photoshop has a few benefits. 1) You can use less equipment than would be necessary to get the image “perfect” in one shot. 2) You can be more precise and creative as you’re able to focus on individual areas of your product. 3) When photographing small subjects your lights will often interfere with one another.
