Up Close and Personal with Intimate Landscape Photography.
I set out early on this spring morning to photograph the blue hour and some wildflowers, but as often happens, the plan shifted. Instead of chasing specific images, I let the woodland guide me — slowing down, taking in the details, and photographing whatever caught my eye.
What followed was a quiet, mindful walk with my camera, capturing small, intimate scenes: floating leaves, the fading form of a seedling, and a less frequently seen little flower called the town hall clock. Though I didn’t film the blue hour flowers, I do share those images at the end.
This isn’t really a typical photo vlog. It’s more of a gentle exploration — a chance to focus on seeing, feeling, and connecting with the landscape in a quieter way. My favourite image from the morning is a weather-worn log, settled in a bed of winter leaves — a fitting close to a peaceful walk.
