Unleash The Node - EP02 (Part 1) - Transform - Nuke Compositing Tutorial Series

The concept of "Unleash The Node" is to take a special look at one of Nuke's nodes, deconstruct it a little and then dig deep into different ways of using it beyond it's obvious purpose. Episode 02 - Part 1 - is all about the theory and math behind the TRANSFORM node. We will take a look at how Nuke processes the individual Transform operations such as Translate, Rotate, Scale and Skew by using Vectors and Matrix Multiplication. We will also focus on Filtering and Motion Blur. Part 2 will continue with interesting ways of using the node in production.
