Ultra-Compact VCSEL-Based Transceivers

Employing High-Density Electrical Pluggable Interface for AI/ML Interconnects Hideyuki Nasu (Furukawa Electric Co.- Ltd. - Fellow) Ultra-compact VCSEL-based transceivers under development in the NICT B5G BRIGHTEN project is introduced. A testing station employing an electrical pluggable interface is designed to evaluate a 100-Gb/s PAM4 x 16-channel SM VCSEL-based transceiver.
