This is a quick tutorial on how to hockey stop for beginners.
Key points to note:
Always make sure your knees are bent before you attempt a hockey stop
Shave on the inside edge for the foot in the front
Shave on the outside edge for the foot in the back
Do the snowplow to get comfortable in that position ( for the foot in front)
Do a T-stop or a tango stop to get comfortable in that position (for the back foot)
Do a 180° hip rotation and add all the other steps
Lastly, don’t be scared, just go for it. Worse case scenario, you fall and try it again!
