Toyota Land Cruiser recovered from the sea at the Inland Sea, Khor Al Udaid. مغرس في سيلين
A picture of a Toyota Land Cruiser came up on the recovery groups whatsapp.
It was in the water at the Inland Sea, which is an inlet on the Arabian side of the Gulf, on the border with Saudi Arabia.
There was a high tide overnight and the vehicle was flooded.
A few of the guys turned up to pull it out.
There was not enough space for a straight pull. The Land Cruiser was on a steep shelf and was in danger of rolling when it was pulled.
We attached a winch from the top of an adjacent sand dune to prevent this.
As it's winter and everyone wanted to keep their warm jackets on, it was decided that the fat 65 year old British guy with a shoulder replacement and bronchitis would be best suited to going in the water.
The vehicle was then winched out and recovered.
