You can spend $4,000 on a sub that DOES NOT produce enough relative deep bass!! That's insane, but a high price does NOT guarantee fantastic performance. As I point out in the video, being able to hear before you buy is rare. Even if you can, it might not be adjusted right. Deep bass subs are big, expensive, you need 2 to truly get ALL of the benefits (true for ANY subwoofer), and if you don't dial them in right, you are REALLY missing out on the truly amazing experience of deep bass.
