It isn't often I throw larger forms like this but it does feel good! I certainly need more practice but it's such an enjoyable process nonetheless. I hope you enjoy this weeks video, and found the cross-sections and diagrams useful! Let me know in the comments below and as always, thanks for watching! (Apologies for the subtle audio change towards the end! I recorded the end of the voiceover in the morning and my vocal cords are a little more gravelly then) Timestamps: 0:00 - Introduction 0:14 - Throwing the bowl 2:33 - Cross section of thrown pot and the areas of support clay 4:12 - Trimming the bowl 7:10 - Diagram to explain the 'glaze catch' 9:08 - Trimming the interior foot well 11:37 - Stamping my maker's mark 12:33 - Trimming the rim 14:28 - Final clean up of the foot ring I throw using a Rohde HMT500 potter's wheel and for the most part use Bison trimming tools. ____ Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/floriangadsby/ TikTok – https://www.tiktok.com/@floriangadsby Website – http://www.floriangadsby.com
