This Is Your Life - Ian Wright OBE
In this edition of TIYL, we celebrate a true legend—someone whose impact on football and television is undeniable. Bookmaster Aspel didn’t have to search far, as the honoree was just in the next studio at Television Centre. Michael is definitely on red alert for this sting as he has Lulu helping out so the subject in question better get ready spot the reference to Red Alert which you can see on @csenterprises9632 channel. Also helping out is Mark Baron from late 90s early noughties boy band another level. The subject for this episode is, known for his remarkable goal-scoring talent. He got his first major break at Crystal Palace, where he gained fame during the 1990 FA Cup Final, scoring twice against Manchester United and which took the game to a replay. However, it’s his time at Arsenal that holds a special place in fans’ hearts. At Arsenal, he won both domestic and European trophies, netting an impressive 185 goals—surpassing Cliff Bastin's record of 178, with only Thierry Henry scoring more (228). After successful spells at Celtic and Burnley, the latter of which he played a part in promotion to what is now The Championship, Ian transitioned into a media career. He became a well-known pundit on TV and radio, often seen alongside Kelly Cates on the Premier League show Kelly & Wrighty and a talk show Friday Night's All Wright. He has also hosted game shows like Friends Like These and Wright Around The World, and his appearance on Top Gear in the 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' segment is particularly memorable. This episode is especially moving, bringing TV journalist Kathryn Flett to tears as Michael Aspel presents the Big Red Book to the Arsenal legend, Ian Wright Wright Wright. Enjoy this heartfelt tribute!
