If you can't get new slings professionally replaced on your climbing cams, here are several ways you may, or may NOT want to DIY.
Sewing a sling yourself: DO NOT DO THIS!
Girth hitch: NOT recommended - Extra bad for cable, low results
Basket hitch: Ok if you clip both strands - http://www.kakibusok.plus.com/Equipment/ReslingCams/Resling.htm
Bowline on a bight: Ok but knot weakens slings
Beer Knot: Ok - Bulky and remember water knots are sketchy

7mm Nylon cord: Meh - bulky and isn't stronger than a sling

A Polish climbing shop reslings cams - https://www.lhotse.pl/uslugiszwalnicze/
Brazil: Conquista (https://conquistamontanhismo.com.br) is a Brazilian manufacturer of uiaa-certified soft goods like harnesses and slings. They resling cams if you ask them on WhatsApp, for (at the time of this writing) 5 usd (25 reais) for each piece.
Canada: Dark Arts Splicing has a 1980’s looking website that will remind you of Mountain Tools. They are an arborist specialty splicing business in Vancouver, but they’ve stepped up to offer cam slinging since there is a gap in the Canadian / PNW market. They have 7 or 8 colors of dyneema and nylon to handle almost anything on the market. Turnaround is pretty quick, and prices are comparable. They just added Totem to their offerings a few weeks ago. The store Climb On offers a drop-off location for them, and they pick up batches monthly. Most folks across Canada just ship them directly to Dark Arts.
