I tell you exactly how to squat 4 plates (180kg/405lbs) step by step.
My squat was ALWAYS my weakest lift. It took me over 5 years of training to hit my first 4 plate squat, then another 5 or more to hit 5 plates (220kg/495lbs).
My squat got stuck around 2-3 plates for years. I would watch all of the Youtube fitness influencers squatting 4+ plates and justified their strength as superior genetics or steroid usage. In reality, my strength training just sucked!
I followed generic intermediate cookie cutter training programs, like Wendler 5/3/1, 5x5, Texas Method and similar. I did a bunch of hard, heavy sets near failure on my squat and barely did any bodybuilding work to increase the size of my quads (because it wasn't included in the programs).
After learning more about programming, I can now squat 4 plates with ease. I'm far from a strong squatter, but it feels pretty cool to be able to squat 4 plates on any given day as my warm up :)
In this video, I share step by step how you can reach your first 4 plate squat - we discuss squat programming, accessory lifts and more!

Thank you so much for watching & I hope this video helped you.
