We’re getting close to a major turning point in our off-grid renovation.
This week, we finally start preparing for the roof of our abandoned stone house — a huge step forward after weeks of rain, delays, and a small surgery for Omar. We also make progress on our greenhouse, veggie beds, and garden soil… and get a very exciting delivery!
⏳ Watch to see how we:
Pour a reinforced concrete beam
Receive 13.5m glulam beams for the roof
Improve clay soil with a homemade compost mix
Tackle potato blight
And keep the build going, one step at a time
Whether you’re here for DIY restoration, off-grid living, or life in rural Portugal, this one’s full of hands-on progress and real-life updates.

🎥 About this project:
We're restoring a $32K abandoned stone ruin in central Portugal, turning it into our forever home — off-grid, DIY, and from scratch. With a shipping container turned tiny house, a growing garden, and a roof almost ready to go up, every video shares real, slow, thoughtful renovation.
