The True Story of The Apostle Paul | Once Known for Killing Christians
Paul was a follower of Jesus Christ who famously converted to Christianity on the road to Damascus after persecuting the very followers of the faith that he was later called to proclaim.
What happened to Paul on the road to Damascus?
Conversion of Paul the Apostle.
As he neared Damascus on his journey of searched for Christians, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?" "Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked. "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied.
However, as we will see, Paul is better described as one of the founders of spreading Christianity rather than a convert to it. Paul actually wrote seven books of the New Testament, more than any other appostle.
The apostle Paul wrote more books in the New Testament than any other apostle, but Luke wrote more of the New Testament by volume.
Paul Wrote 13 books in the New Testament, including Romans, 1 and 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 and 2 Thessalonians, 1 and 2 Timothy, Titus, and Philemon.
The Apostle Paul traveled over 10,000 miles to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ across the Roman Empire. His journeys took him through present-day Israel, Syria, Turkey, Greece, and Italy.
