The second video in the "Hammered Out" series in which Owen "The Hammer" Hammer explains cryptic movies and television shows. We return to "The Shining" and The Hammer debunks claims of a moon hoax confession, clues about sexual abuse hidden in bear images, magically changing doors, disappearing furniture, ghostly carpet rotations, reality warping windows, the gold room as an economic argument and finally the lens of skepticism is turned on Kubrick himself. What does it say about a director who makes a film about male violence and abuses his female star? Plausible reasons are given for mundane anomalies assumed to be purposeful demonstrations of Kubrick's genius.
