Another couple of days on the West Highland Way (days 5 & 6) and the main lesson of the trail is finally beginning to show itself to us. While we've learned some valuable insight already, we believe this is the reason we choose this specific trail. We fell in love with Scotland last year and it's been calling to us ever since. We both have Scottish ancestry yet we weren't sure all the reasons why this trail, of all the trails in the world, was the ONE trek we said YES to walking this year. For logistical reasons it made since, but so did other trails. But as we near the completion everything is coming together.
