The Owner Asked, "Are You Really NOT GOING TO CHARGE ME for this Work?"
One of the clients where I had previously trimmed the hedge, asked me to come again and trim the tree, as he did not want it to grow too much. Arriving at the address, I took a stepladder and climbed the tree and began trimming the branches with a chain saw, I completed this job in 30 minutes, then collected all the branches and carried them to my trailer, after that I collected all the leaves in green bags, while I was cleaning everything, the owner asked me to trim a bush of grass and trim a small tree in front of the house. I completed this job in 2 hours, and went to unload the trailer. I saw the house of the second owner a couple of weeks ago, as I often drove through this area and after another job almost before Christmas I drove past again and noticed that the hedge still had not been trimmed, so I decided to stop by and knock on the door. The door was opened by a woman, I congratulated her on the upcoming Christmas and offered my help for free, she was very surprised by this and it was clear that she was distrustful of my offer, asking me several times that "Are you really going to do this for free?" and "Won't you send me an invoice for payment after Christmas?", I convinced her that everything would be free and I would even take all the trimmings, which she did not immediately agree to, but she still agreed. The day was sunny but a bit windy, but I was very lucky that there was no rain. I started trimming the hedge using my main trimmer Stihl KMA135, it was obvious that the hedge had not been trimmed for a long time, so I tried not to cut too much, then I started trimming from above, but here I tried to trim as low as possible. While I was working, two neighbors came to me and asked me to trim the hedge in their yard by half after the holidays, we agreed that I would come to them in the coming days. Having finished trimming, I started cleaning and when I was loading the last bags, the owner of the house came up to me and gave me a bottle of liqueur and wished me a Merry Christmas, which was very nice of her. This work took me 4 hours.
