As a gerontologist, Leacey Brown knows the impact of the aging baby boomer population. However, she believes the design and disabilities are not just an aging issue. Leacey’s talk explores the need for universal design for all. Leacey E. Brown is a gerontologist advocating for broader discussions about aging and older adults. She currently serves as the SDSU Extension Gerontology Field Specialist. Troubleshooting skills gained as a member of the U.S. Air Force enhances her professional capacity, allowing her to break aging issues into more manageable parts. She is convinced many of the challenges we face as we age could be reduced by consumer driven solutions.
