The trail we’ll drive today connects Trona to areas deeper in the Panamint Range, reaching destinations such as Ballarat Ghost Town, Wildrose Canyon and Death Valley national park. The trail provides breathtaking views of desert valleys, rugged peaks, and occasional glimpses of wildlife like bighorn sheep, desert foxes and wild donkeys. It’s a secluded route, perfect for those seeking solitude and an authentic backcountry experience. Before heading out, always check the weather—the Panamint Range can surprise you with extreme heat, flash floods, or even snow if you're up in the higher elevations.
