The Mango Loa Project

Umi Martin of Umi's Farm on Kauai, is passionate about his Mango Loa project. Learn about high density mango production and how these systems are a more efficient use of land, natural resources, and inputs; reduce the demand on labor; and has a quicker time to production. Utilizing these high density systems have the potential to double Hawaii’s mango production with just 20 acres, while providing the community with locally grown produce. Umi's goal is to have his family continue farming for generations to come.
