The Leica M6 & 50mm f/1.2 Noctilux: A Match Made in Heaven?

In this video, I explore the Leica M6 and the iconic 50mm f/1.2 Noctilux lens, a reissue of a true classic. From the bustling streets of Soho to the sleek architecture of Canary Wharf and the historic charm of Victoria, I put this lens through its paces in three very different locations. Shooting Ilford XP2 and Portra 160 on the M6, I wanted to see how this lens renders colours and tones on premium film stocks. I also used the Leica M11 Monochrom to explore its potential in digital black-and-white photography and on a high res sensor. Alongside this, I captured some footage for a wider project on street photography, using the Canon C80 paired with Sirui 1.6x anamorphic lenses.
