The Great Pyramid’s Niche of Secrets

We are fortunate that many explorers from the past have documented their exploration of the Great Pyramid of Giza. The monument has changed greatly over time, with many critical parts broken, relocated, and renovated or replaced. The ‘Queen’s Chamber’ of the Great Pyramid is particularly difficult to understand because it has been subjected to the most damage from visitors. Recently new testimonies from 1837 have come to light which provide critical evidence to understanding if a sarcophagus is missing from within it. The entirely unique niche on the chamber’s eastern wall has taunted investigators since before written records. Why is there? What secrets might it hold? The interpretations of explorers have caused tunnels to be dug through it and beneath it.
