Growing up in a musical family, David's journey as an excellent musician began when he was about nine years old. Church became his first main outlet for performing where he began playing in the band at about age 11 to 13. From there, David's skill developed even further when he started lessons with the accomplished drummer Garey Williams from Seattle, WA. As a teenager, David played in a smooth jazz band from Seattle where he performed shows and festivals such as Festival Sundiata, Taste of Tacoma and more. Also in high school, David played with Pierce College Jazz Band in Puyallup, WA and performed with them in Washington and the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Idaho. David also furthered his education by taking music theory while attending Pierce College. David has recorded four times in the AM Studio and has other recording experience as well. Since his youth, David has played for many different types of churches such as Mars Hill Church, the ministry school at Bethel Church in Redding, CA, Whitewater Church, Resurrection Life Church in The Colony, TX and others. Since moving to Texas, David has taught private in home drum lessons and teaches at 4/4 School of Music and Accent School of Music. From an early age into the present time, David has become not only a skilled drummer, but also an excellent musician.
