It took me years to create the best landscape photography book in existence and she'd rather read a book about blue-chested throat warblers? I'm not impressed. What does impress me, however, are the spectacular hills of the Cabot Trail. While on a recce mission to find viewpoints for my 2023 photography workshops I hike up Mt Franey just after sunrise and the vista is truly spectacular. After waking up at 4AM we deliver three glorious 'face like a' gems and give you a sneak peak into what goes on behind closed doors. We even take you on a very expensive gondola ride but you'll have to decide if it's worth the asking price. As usual, the journey becomes more important than the destination when I discover a tree so gnarly it defies the laws of physics. Will I capture a 'book-worthy' shot and can I ever forgive Amanda's betrayal? Does that warning sign in the gondola really say what I think it says and what are my first impressions of the immensely powerful Sony A1? There's really only one way to find out.
