The Best Questions To Ask Your Air Force Recruiter?
In this video I will be doing a short Air Force Q&A and discussing the right questions to ask Air Force recruiters. You should always ask your recruiters questions when thinking about joining the Air Force or the Military. It will help you get answers to critical questions, and it will show your recruiters that you're serious about the process. Below I also put several more questions you can ask your recruiters. You don't have to ask all of these questions, but I'd definitely recommend you ask which ones are important to you. If I sign these forms does this mean I’m In the Air Force? Is there anything I should know about that we haven't covered? What has been your best/worst experience in the AF? So I am a military brat. Will you really be able to see everything that TRICARE has paid out benefits for? What makes the AF different? When does my commitment start? What do you not like about the Air Force? What can I expect throughout this process? How is being in the DEP program different from what I have done with you so far? How long is the wait for an AFSC? What AFSC’s are most needed and what is the most sought after? What are the differences between the branches and what makes this one best for me? Is it possible to go to any base regardless of career? Which careers best translate to civilian life, and does that mean other jobs shouldn’t be considered? Will I be able to leave base everyday and do things I like, such as volunteering, coaching, or mentoring? How hard will it be for me to continue school or go on vacation? Can I do anything to increase my chances of getting the career I want? If I ever want to switch careers, can I? What support can the Air Force provide for my family? If I deployed, will I be on a base or in the middle of nowhere with no amenities or ways to communicate back home? Do I have to pay for everything out of my base pay? What is there to do for fun in the Air Force, or is it all serious business? Are there sports teams, video game teams, fitness groups or anything like that? How long is BMT, are they still doing the gas chamber, mask/no mask? Does the Air Force pay for my hotel room/meals/plane tickets to BMT/moving my belongings? What is BTZ and how do I pass on my achievements to my first supervisor? When do I start getting paid/can sew on the rank? When can I start going to school for my personal goals? At what point can I see my family again/ie take leave? Can I take things not listed on the BMT packing list/will it be confiscated or just locked up until graduation? How is Space Forces BMT differen? How will my skills transfer to the civilian sector later? Do I need a "transferable" job? Will my family get benefits while I am at Basic Training? Why is it important to be open to the needs of the Air Force when it comes to jobs? Can I travel outside the US before my ship date? Should I bring extra clothes to BMT? Can I bring a suitcase to BMT? Will I ship directly to tech school the day after BMT graduation or can I spend the weekend with family? What happens if I decline my job offer? Why can’t my son/daughter get their number 1 preference?
