Right so today we are talking teleconverters!
I get loads of questions about teleconverters/ extenders and with good reason, they are a complex topic!
On the face of it they look great, take your lens, add an adaptor and BOOM you've got a longer lens! Well... if only it was that simple!
TC's can be really handy, but often they are miscommunicated in regards to how they work and many of the downsides. They seem like a low cost option, but in reality for many with anything than the best lenses, TC's can cause a number of headaches!
In this video I'm going to walk you through teleconverters, explaining what they are, how they work, the different types and how they can be used for wildlife photography. I'll talk about the purchasing decisions you might want to take and some recommendations for whatever stage your at in your photography journey.
As always if you have any questions or want to know more, drop them down below and I'd be more than happy to discuss!
When it comes to my work I almost exclusively only use TC's on my top end prime lenses the 600mm F4 Z TC and the 300mm 2.8.
I have in the past used on on my 70-200mm 2.8 (also a pro spec lens) with great results.
