This charming city, with its pedestrian-friendly streets and minimal car traffic, made exploring a breeze. While Taormina is dotted with designer shops targeting tourists, we embarked on a quest to find hidden treasures and insider tips to save a few euros along the way. One of our most humorous highlights? Olivia's epic quest for coffee on our first day—she finally scored one just as night fell! We also had the incredible opportunity to meet the mayor of Taormina and climb a picturesque castle, adding an extra layer of magic to our trip. Although this was probably our priciest adventure in Sicily, it was worth every penny. We indulged in the most divine Granita that’s simply unmatched anywhere else, and the Etna wine we sampled at a local wine bar and deli was to die for. While we had our doubts about the Michelin-starred restaurant, we discovered some incredibly talented local chefs who became friends and treated us to some of the best meals in Sicily.
