Sometimes we focus on specific genres, while other times we simply let the music take over and guide us wherever it may lead. We made it to the new year! How are you doing so far? Some of my peoples are doing 'Dry January.' I just learned what that is a few days ago, and if you don’t know, it’s basically not drinking for the month of January. I bartend on the side, so I haven’t been seeing much chicken coming in since the new year started. That’s okay, though—I’m happy for people sticking to their resolutions and achieving their goals. But my pockets... what about my pockets? Haha, I’m kidding! Honestly, it’s fine; the money will come. I’m happy and super grateful you came back to enjoy the music I curate for these videos. This woman commented on my IG post saying she’s from Chile and loves the videos. Messages like that always take me by surprise because my videos are really reaching people outside the country. Wow. I don’t care how popular I get or how many views I obtain—seeing that will always be amazing to me. Soon enough, I’ll be asked to DJ out there. I’m calling it right now, manifesting it! Anyway, I told you that since I didn’t post a session on the 1st, I’ll post two Wednesdays in a row, and I plan to stick to that. If all goes to plan, next week’s video is soooooooo fire. All I’ll say is this: you may or may not know, but I had my 8th SubtleSound.wav on December 27th, and we packed it out—almost selling out the venue with 550 in attendance. And I may or may not have recorded it ;) I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Okay I'm yappin like a mf, I'm just happy to be back posting videos.
