Sub Zero Lake District Winter Mountain Wild Camp in the Durston X Dome 1+ Tent In this video, I head out in the Durston X Dome 1+ for a wild camp in the Lake District National Park. Temperatures fall well below zero and freezing fog and cloud enveloped the fells for most of the hike in and out. I met up with Wardle and Wee Rab and we enjoyed a few craft beers whilst putting the world to rights! I was impressed with the space and practicality afforded by the X Dome - whilst the solid inner is not available yet (and would have been perfect for these conditions), I was still warm with the full mesh as I had a decent down quilt (and top quilt) to keep those icy temperatures at bay. Plenty of head room and a large vestibule for my gear made this a really versatile shelter which for the weight, is amazing.
