The Strasburg Railroad is the oldest continuously operated railroad in the United States. Since 1832, this little shortline has seen many eras, starting as a simple connector to a small town, it has lived through the Civil War, both World Wars, industrialization, and the rise of cars and highways and remains intact in the modern day of digital technology. While the world and the country have certainly changed in the last two centuries, the Strasburg Railroad has not.
