Stithians Reservoir with the Awesome Canon R5ii - Warblers & First Cuckoo of the Year!

Join me for a brilliant day of birdwatching and wildlife photography at Stithians Reservoir in Cornwall – a hidden gem for nature lovers! In this video, I explore three bird hides, including the well-stocked Feeder Hide, the Golden Lion Hide, and another peaceful spot where I encounter a wide variety of bird species and get up close with some adorable chicks. Highlights from the day include: A first for me: hearing Grasshopper Warblers in Cornwall! My first cuckoo of the year Intimate views of moorhen chicks and mallard ducklings A lovely surprise with a White-throat making an appearance Fantastic sightings of blackcaps, chaffinches, blue tits and many more Despite some classic Cornish weather (a bit wet and windy!), it turned out to be a productive and peaceful visit. I even talk a bit about plans for setting up a bird photography perch in my garden to capture some of the regular visitors like Bullfinches. If you're ever in the area, Stithians is well worth a visit – especially the bird hides managed by the Cornwall Bird Watching & Preservation Society.
