Here is my updated video on everything you need to know in order to play a caster well in pathfinder! It will cover itemization, spell recommendations, casting modes, spell lists, etc etc. It will not go into feats as those are very class / build dependent and I wanted to keep this guide as general as possible!
After watching this video you should not feel lost staring at your character sheet and should be able to begin interacting with the decision points this game has to offer.
If you are at high levels and want to use attacking spells you can grab a Shadow Signet (did not mention in the main video as I feel that does not apply to *too many* casters, particularly the newer players this guide is geared for)
Treat my suggestions here as guidelines, they will be true 90-95% of the time, but there are always exceptions when I say something is an optimal strategy. The comments will be sure to point out scenarios where my advice is wrong!
