Notion doesn’t give us a clean way to connect the two and using relation properties with nested databases leads to a couple of bad database design issues. The Fix We use buttons to create fake relations. This gives us the control of related databases with the flexibility of nested ones—without cluttering our setup. Example: Granular Goal Tracking Track goals in a main database, then use nested databases for sub-goals or progress logs. With buttons, you can link them cleanly.
