SPECIAL DEBATE : ഗ്യാരന്റിയില്ലാത്ത ഗുണനിലവാരമില്ലാത്ത ഉൽപ്പന്നങ്ങൾക്ക് നമ്മൾ നൽകിയിട്ടുള്ള വിളിപ്പേരുണ്ട് ചൈനീസ് പ്രൊഡക്ട് എന്ന്. ഇന്ത്യയലെ സൈനീക താവളങ്ങളെ അടക്കം ലക്ഷ്യംവച്ച് നടത്തിയ ആക്രമണങ്ങൾക്ക് പാകിസ്താൻ ഉപയോഗിച്ചത് സ് നിർമ്മിത ആയുധങ്ങൾ ആയിരുന്നു. ആ ആയുധങ്ങളെല്ലാം ഇന്ത്യ അനായാസം അടിച്ചു വീഴ്ത്തിയപ്പോൾ ചിലർക്കെങ്കിലും സംശയം തോന്നിക്കാണും അതും ഡ്യൂപ്ലിക്കേറ്റ് ആയിരുന്നോ എന്ന്. വലിയ സൈനിക ശക്തിയായി വളര്‍ന്നു എങ്കിലും നാല് പതിറ്റാണ്ടിലേറെയായി ഒരു വലിയ യുദ്ധത്തിലും ചൈന പങ്കെടുത്തിട്ടില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ ചൈനീസ് ആയുധങ്ങളുടെ ശേഷിയുടെ പരീക്ഷണം കൂടിയായിരുന്നു പാകിസ്താൻ നടത്തിയത്. ആ പരീക്ഷണത്തിൽ ഇന്ത്യയോട് അമ്പേ പരാജയപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ ചൈനയ്ക്കുണ്ടാകുന്ന അസഹിഷ്ണുത സ്വാഭാവികം. Though China has grown into a major military power, it has not participated in any large-scale war in over four decades.
