Spaceballs was such a great time. I enjoyed this more than Robin Hood Men in Tights but not as much as Blazing Saddles. This was another solid Mel Brooks movie that had me laughing throughout the ninety-minute runtime. The absurd humor combined with very decent performances from John Candy, Rick Moranis and the man himself, Mel Brooks really brought this crazy script to life. The production end and the score were also surprisingly good, something that I didn’t expect. This is the quintessential Star Wars parody and I highly recommend it. If it isn’t considered a cult film today, it will be in the future.
