Located less than two hours from London, Bishopstone makes an ideal day trip. Although the village is small, with only one farm shop, you can find everything you need. July and August are peak tourist seasons in the UK countryside, thanks to the long days and great weather. It's common to see wild ducks laying eggs everywhere in the countryside, with local residents often caring for them as pets. I had a lovely chat with some of the locals, who showed me around, including a working windmill model. 📍Great Tew Village, Oxfordshire Great Tew is one of the most picturesque villages in the Cotswolds, looking like something out of a storybook. The houses are built of local ironstone, many with charming thatched roofs that resemble Disney characters' homes. Like other classic Cotswold villages, Just a 90-minute drive from London, Great Tew is perfect for a day trip. The village features colourful gardens, traditional pubs, and shops, making it a popular spot for visitors. Many of the cottages, dating back to the 17th century, have been recently renovated.
