Learn how to use smart objects in Photoshop. Smart Objects are a powerful Photoshop feature.
When should you use a smart object:
- If you are going to duplicate a layer you should convert it to a smart object first that way if you need to make any changes to the object it will be changed throughout all the different copies.
- If you are working with images. When working with an image first convert it to a smart object. This is called non destructive editing. Any edits you make to that layer will not destroy your original image that you have saved in the smart object.
