Simplest DIY Compressor Pedal? (Single Transistor Circuit)

This is the most stupidly simple compressor circuit I could come up with. It uses a MOSFET to control a small incandescent light bulb, which provides both RMS detection and optical isolation from a voltage divider with an LDR that passively attenuates the signal based on the brightness of the bulb.
