‘How To Use Your Own Photos For Image Transfers’
Recently, I have been exploring the process of printing image transfers on the gel plate, and there is nothing more satisfying than using your own images for this creative pursuit. This is my favourite painting of all my experiments with this exciting process. I use a photo of my daughter, transfer the image onto white tissue paper, and then use the print to create a luxurious painting of her wrapped in bronze and gold.
In this demonstration, I will show you step-by-step the process for creating an image transfer using your own photo with a colour laser copy. Watch as I create the print, and then I will show you the beautiful ways you can use your image transfer to create a mixed media painting. You can use photos of your family, friends, kids, cat, car, holiday, whatever it is that you treasure!
