Setting Up Your In Ear Monitors Using The Wing Rack Using Firmware 3.0.6-25 and Wing Edit 3.2
In an In-Ear Monitor (IEM) bus setup, using a pre-fader configuration offers several advantages that can significantly enhance the performance and experience for musicians and sound engineers. If you set your IEM bus up post fader, you will get everyone in the band extremely upset, as you start to mix/blend in the Front of Hose. (FOH).
With a pre-fader send, the signal sent to the IEMs is independent of the main mix that goes to the front-of-house (FOH) speakers. This means that musicians can have a consistent and tailored monitor mix that they can rely on, regardless of changes made to the fader position for the main mix. This is not a suggestion, it is a requirement! The short video below shows you how easy it is to setup your IEM buses up pre-fader.
